Dance Boss was created to be a positive space for dancers to thrive.
Focusing on a total mind/body wellness approach; we offer a free monthly e-zine, our exclusive Dance Boss Journal, Workbook and Notebook, as well as professional and nurturing events for dancers. Dance Boss has everything you need to become the best version of you, both in life and in your dance pursuits.
It's no secret that the dance world is often seen as an intimidating, tough place to be and it doesn't win any awards for being "Most nurturing" or "Best at encouraging self care"...in fact, the dance world focuses a lot on aesthetics and fitting a line up, which doesn't do wonders for people's self esteem, as you might imagine.
Hence the need for a shake up, (enter Dance Boss stage right) to help you become a strong dancer in your mind, body and soul, so you can pursue what you love most, whilst feeling healthy, happy and bursting with self confidence and belief.
About Emily Sophie...
Emily Sophie is the founder of Dance Boss. She is a professional dancer with a degree in Dance & Theatre Performance from Bird College, as well as being a fitness pro and NLP practitioner. She is also a published author, with her debut self help/memoir book "Confessions of a dancer" being released in June 2019.
Emily created Dance Boss to fill a gap in the dance world and help dancers learn about how to take care of their total wellbeing: mind, body and soul.
During her 3 years at a professional dance college, Emily struggled a lot and found that the demands placed upon her really took a toll on her physical wellbeing but more dramatically, her mental health. Through her experience and further education, Emily hopes to give dancers all the tools, tips and support to help them thrive not only as great performers, but as healthy, happy human beings too.
When Emily isn't dancing, she is usually off exploring the globe, watching movies or stroking some animals!
